Mobile Europe roundtable on how to succeed in mobile advertising

 In opinion

Just a heads up to all London Calling readers.  Today I participated in a very lively and interesting roundtable hosted by Mobile Europe Magazine and sponsored by Gigafone on “How to succeed in mobile advertising in 2009”.

Held at the funky Wallace Space in St Pancras, I was joined by Editor Keith Dyer and some of the thought leaders in this space – namely:

Thomas Curwen – Planning Director, Publicis Groupe
Kent Ferguson – Mobile Media Analyst Europe, Nielsen Online
James MacDonald – Head of Sales, O2 Media, UK & Ireland
Kieron Matthews – Director of Marketing, Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB)

The whole roundtable of over an hour and a half was filmed, and will appear on the Mobile Europe website later in January – and you will hear about it first here at London Calling.  It will be well worth watching the edited highlights.

The issues discussed went beyond “why aren’t brands advertising more on mobile” and we got to the heart of the major issues (and proposed some solutions) in this exciting space.

Stay tuned for the video and an article in next month’s Mobile Europe – in time for Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.  Why not sign up now to receive the magazine electronically.
